FINAL accutane post!

guys, i Have been off accutane since the very beginning of May, and i can finally say i am feeling back to my regular, energized self.
those final months of being on it were actually terrible. i had no energy whatsoever and my body was constantly in pain, not to mention i developed a rash all over my stomach, chest and back that lasted for a couple of months. it was terrible!

as far as my skin goes however, it worked wonders! not only have i maybe had like 5 individual zits since going off of it, five months ago, but my skin is healing from all the acne i had prior and during. and side you should wait about 5-6 months to be gin getting any type of facial treatment, i am counting downtime days till i can. dermaplaning and micro-needling are on top of my list!

as far as pictures go, i don't have many, mainly because i was so embarrassed by my skin i refused to be in any. but i did find a few that showed how bad it was.

This picture was taken a year ago, i had just begun taking accutane, but if you can zoom in you can see all of my breakouts and uneven skin tone.

these are all from February, which was about halfway through accutane. you can see all of the discoloration, scar and breakouts. during this time the actual acne was starting to finally fade.

this was right after i ended my 6 months with accutane, my skin was beyond clear of acne and still had a dewy look to it that accutane seems to give. i honestly think i could have benefitted from one more month on it, but my body couldn't have taken it.

this is my skin now, still very clear, but still trying to heal from the scars and discoloration.

I do with i would have documented it better, but was so embarrassed i didn't think to do that.
i will say this, i am glad i did it and that IT WORKED, but if by some terrible chance the acne comes back, i will never go on it ever again. my body took to the drug too harshly, but the same can't be said for everyone. i have talked to people who took it and had none of the problems was experiencing. everyone is different and every body reacts differently, so remember that when deciding if this is something for you. it requires commitment and consistent maintenance. but the outcome is totally worth it (especially if its right before your wedding and you want clear skin. ahem).

May 19th, 2017

I just want to express how thankful Dayton and I are for everyone who has shown their support and love, this day means everything to us and it couldn't have turned out any better!
We also want to thank everyone who had a hand in making it as wonderful as it was:

my awesome mom baked all of the cookies and basically planned the majority of the wedding, without her, it definitely wouldn't have turned out the way it did.

My aunt made my cake, which was seriously so delicious and pretty!

We got our flowers from Dana at The Floral Theory in Arizona and i cannot express enough how gorgeous those arrangements were you really had to see them in person!

My dress is from Saldana Vintage, they were amazing to work with, especially since their whole shop is online and i couldn't physically try it on in a store. they worked with me on everything to ensure everything was effect about it, not to mention it was so comfortable!

Natalie Allen, who did our photography is seriously amazing with a camera and the sweetest person you could ever work with!

i also want to give a special shoutout to Jenna Taylor, an amazing close family friend of ours who recently passed away in a biking accident in Arizona. she spent the entire night before my wedding making over 15 of these table arrangements with my family, they were gorgeous and made our house smell so amazing. words cannot express how sad i was to hear of the news, but i know she is in a great place now and that she will forever leave a legacy with those she came in contact with.
