anyways, since it is "fall" i thought it would be fun to make a list of my favorite fall activities and a bucket list for the fall/winter seasons.
my fall favorites:
- sweaters. they are by far my favorite thing to wear, i have over different 20 sweaters in my closet and the number continues to grow!
- there is something about wearing boots that just makes me happy. as of right now i have my eye on a pair of ankle booties from American Eagle (here) and (here), i also want to get a pair of black riding boots but i haven't found any that i love.
- baked yummies. if you aren't already aware, i love food particularly sugary foods and fall is the time when the best foods are made.
- bonfires. a year ago from today, before all of my friends left on missions, we would go to the dessert almost every weekend and have bonfires. and now that they are all gone i don't know what i'm going to do! {funny story: it was sometime after christmas because we had a ton of christmas trees that we decided we were going to set in fire. one of them had to be about 8ft tall, and then there were like three other smaller ones. so we picked a sandy area were nothing could catch on fire. then we made a trail of gasoline that led to the trees, it was set about 10ft away from the trees so we wouldn't die;) the trees caught in fire instantly and we all ended backing up till we were about 20ft away because the heat was so crazy. it only lasted for about five minutes but it was the coolest thing. we must ave been near a rave because cars would would speeding by us, several of them almost got in an accident. then suddenly, the sherif and some cops drove up to wear we were sitting by the fire. we were nervous because we knew it was illegal to burn the christmas trees. so as they are walking up to us with their flashlight, the begin asking us about the cars that have been driving by. they then asked us what we were drinking and doing. (luckily for us, we were just a bunch of mormon kids whose idea of a good time included dr. pepper, hot dogs and dutch oven cobbler.) my friend austin said, and i quote "its just dr. pepper, but we have cobbler and ice cream. i bet you guys want some!" to which the officers replied no thank you. they then warned us to pick up after ourselves and they left. i probably didnt do this story justice, but ask anyone who went that night and they would tell you the same thing, that was the funnest night any of us had had during a bonfire.}
- late night or early morning jogs.
- cuddling. of course this would require me to have a significant other, and i don't... so this may not be happening for quite some time. although i will consider candidates;)
- cinnamon rolls. my mom makes the best cinnamon rolls known to mankind. if she ever delivers a batch to your family, you know that you must be very important people.
bucket list:
- visit a pumpkin patch (with a significant other) and then carve them together
- bake as many treats as i can in one day.
- go camping with a group of friends (must have a bonfire)
- movie marathons.
- go hiking.
- bike riding.
- drink hot coco and have smokes.
- have someone teach me how to snowboard. (sadly, I've never been before).
- visit Disneyland for halloween and christmas.
- make a snowman.
- have a snowball fight.
- make a legit ginger bread house. that includes the baking and putting together of said house.
- nature walk.
im sure this list could go on and on and that you would want to read all of it.... ha who am i kidding i have no followers. but thats not the point, the point is that i love fall and winter and i wish i lived in a place where we actually had seasons. maybe one day if i ever go away for college. so, thank you for reading, or not reading, it doesn't really matter to me.
sincerely,
Allyson
