lets talk TFIOS

if you have no idea what TFIOS stands, for then i highly suggest you leave this page and figure it out. maybe read my post from May 13, that will definitely get you headed in the right direction.

and for those of you who do know what it means, wasn't it just amazing!

it is BY FAR one of my favorite movies ever!

The Fault In Our Stars has forever changed me in a good way.
(plus it's a very quotable movie/book)

REVIEW TIME:

now, usually, when i see a movie that is based off a novel, i end up being pretty disappointed.

one because they always change or leave out important aspects of the book that i feel should have been included.
two because the movie itself is never as good as the book. ever. its just impossible. when you read a book, you are creating a movie from your very own imagination, and that can never be recreated.
and three.. well I'm usually just disappointed with who they chose as the main characters. like, come on, i know you could have chosen a better cast than that. (i especially hate it when they make the character look completely different than how they are described in the book. stupid. )

now, having said that, i can honestly say the movie itself was amazing. yes, they left out a few things and changed a few things, but everything worked out and turned out amazing. and come on, how could i possibly ever be mad at this movie. if anything this movie brought out my inner emotions that i almost never let out. (yes, i sobbed like a big baby. uncontrollable, loud, hysteric sobbing... funny side note, during a very serious and sad moment in the movie i made a really loud, embarrassing crying noise that made the entire theater either start crying more, laughing or both. pretty embarrassing, but what can i say. this movie will do that to you. )

although, i was disappointed they didn't include more of the sarcastic moments from the book.
but at the same time i don't really care. how could i?

another great thing about this movie was its music.

{if you don't know me very well, just know that i am very into music of all kinds. its a big part of my life, i always feel the need to have some playing, wherever i am. }

so about a month ago, i decided to look at the album, just to see what it was like.
i instantly fell in love with the three songs that were available, and five minutes later bought the album. slowly, different songs would be made available, and each time that happened, my excitement for the movie grew and grew. the songs chosen for this movie are all awesome and fit in perfectly to their different scenes. (although now whenever i listen to a song from the album, i get teary eyed because it reminds me of the movie.)
my three favorite songs from the album are:

1. All the Stars by Ed Sheeran
2. Not About Angels by Birdy
(also the song Tee Shirt which i didn't hear played in the actual movie but is on the album.)
3. Long Way Down by Tom Odell

but they are all worth listening to, they are just that good!

as for the actors they chose, i don't think they could have made a better choice.
Shailene Woodley is AH-MAZING. and as for Ansel Elgort... well lets just say the world has discovered a new Zach Efron. he isn't drop your pants hot like Zach, but he is real and cute and i could just kiss him. and that scene where he took his shirt off.. didn't you just think his skin looked so smooth and soft.. oh man.
saint worthy, yep, that glorious boy is worthy of saints.

as you can tell, i loved the movie. i feel as if they didn't hollywood-ize the movie. they kept it as it was and i think thats why so many people enjoyed it, not because it was a tear jerker (because, lets be honest, no one like to cry. ) but because it was relatable and because it was real. i have no other way to describe it, but there probably is no other way to.
it was a real, heart wrenching, love story that will never ever be replicated.

thanks again John, you have created a wonderful masterpiece that has touched the hearts of many.
